BCCI's AGM at a private hotel here today witnessed protests by a student organisation, which demanded a ban on Sri Lankan cricketers playing in different teams in Indian Premier League (IPL).
Around 30 students shouted slogans against the Sri Lankan government, which they alleged had committed genocide against Tamils living in the island country during the 2009 civil war, and held placards demanding that the Lankan players not be auctioned in the next IPL, police said.
Police later arrested the protestors and took them away from the venue.
At the meeting, N Srinivasan was re-elected unopposed as President for the third successive term.
