The students of Mogla Higher Secondary School in Kalakote area of Rajouri passed their class 10th theory exams but were failed in their practical exams after they refused to pay an alleged bribe of Rs 200 each demanded by the examiner.
"We were surprised to see that all of us failed in our practical exams despite clearing our respective theory papers," said a dejected student.
The students, meanwhile, called on District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Fakir Chand Bhagat, and apprised him about the entire episode.
Bhagat has directed the Chief Education Officer (CEO) to conduct a through inquiry into the case and submit a detailed report to his office within 10 days.
"The students complained about the marks in their practical exams. I have entrusted CEO to look into the matter and submit a report in this matter within 10 days," Bhagat informed PTI.
