Mizoram-Myanmar Champhai border vandalised the government Circuit House today evening, SDO (Sadar) Pachhunga said.
The students smashed window panes and damaged furniture, Pachhunga said.
Pachhunga told PTI over phone that police dispersed the mob without resorting to serious violence.
No one was injured in the incident, Pachhunga said.
Champhai district headquarters of the Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP) or Mizo Students Federation demanded posting of more doctors in the district hospital and had been observing a bandh since Tuesday last.
The student activists allegedly torched the garage at the deputy commissioner's office yesterday and all five vehicles parked inside the garage were gutted.
