The Haryana government today granted 20 more days to the sub-committee formed for holding students' union polls in colleges and universities so that it could have sufficient time to compile the data.
Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma, who presided over a review meeting of the Higher Education Department here, informed this.
Earlier, speaking at the meeting, he directed the vice-chancellors (VCs) of the universities in the state to collect the data of students from other states and countries studying in their universities or colleges affiliated to those.
Sharma claimed that due to the better quality of higher education in Haryana, the number of students from Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha etc. Coming to the state was on the rise.
