Subedar Annamalai cremated with full military honours

'Subedar' G Annamalai who died while rescuing landslide victims during Operation Falcon in Arunachal Pradesh recently was cremated with full military honours at his hometown today.
Annamalai's body was draped in the tricolour and Army officers paid floral tributes at the cremation ceremony at his native village Periyapalambakkam in Vellore district. A gun salute was accorded to him, an official release said.

Annamalai died on August 18 in Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh while rescuing landslide victims.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa had condoled the demise of Annamalai and announced Rs 10 lakh solatium to his family.
