During the meeting, the BJP leader noted the Apex Court had quashed the earlier order passed by UPA government on grounds that it was full of legal infirmities.
The court had cited the absence of a proper proposal from National Backward Classes Commission (NBCC) documenting the need for providing reservation to jat community in OBC quota for representation in government service and educational institutions.
He pressed the need for addressing these legal infirmities and re-issue the order as per law.
He had said the previous UPA government, in its last days in office, had rushed through the proposal for Jat reservation without documenting as mandatorily required of the Backward Class Commission the ground reality of the backwardness status of Jats.
