Lakhtakia is a 1984 batch Telangana-cadre IPS officer while Singh is a 1985 batch Kerala-cadre IPS officer, a Home Ministry spokesperson said.
Lakhtakia will occupy the post of ADG in the Central Reserve Police Force from the date of joining and up to July 31, 2019, the date of his retirement on superannuation or till further orders, whichever event takes place earlier.
Singh will function as ADG in Border Security Force against the existing vacancy for a period of four years from the date of taking over the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier.
