Sugar declines on ample supply, weak demand

Sugar millgate prices eased by Rs 10 per quintal in the national capital today on regular supplies from mills amid sluggish demand.
Marketmen said the fall in sugar prices was mostly due to increased supplies against low demand from bulk consumers.
In millgate section, sugar Simbholi, Sakoti and Khatuli shed Rs 10 each to Rs 3,280, Rs 3,170 and Rs 3,270 per quintal.
Prices of Budhana, Thanabhavan and Dhanora also moved down by Rs 10 each to Rs 3,230, Rs 3,220 and Rs 3,230 per quintal.
Following are today's quotations per quintal:
Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 3,330-3,530; S-30 Rs 3,310-3,510.
Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 3,130-3,320; S-30 Rs 3,110-3300.
Sugar mill gate (including duty): Mawana 3,220; Kinnoni 3,320; Asmoli 3,260; Dorala 3,240; Budhana 3,230; Thanabhavan 3,220; Dhanora 3,230; Simbholi 3,280; Modi Nagar Rs 3,230; Khatuli 3,270; Dhampur 3,190; Ramala 3,140; Bulandshar 3,190; Anupshar 3,120; Baghpat 3,150; Morna 3,150; Sakoti 3,170; Chandpur 3,180 and Nazibabad 3,140.
