Sugar regains on fresh demand

Prices of both varieties of sugar regained at the Vashi wholesale market here today following fresh demand from stockist and retailers amid good seasonal offtake.
Small sugar (S-30) rose by Rs 10/5 per quintal to Rs 2,622/2,781 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 2,612/2,776.
Medium sugar (M-30) climbed by Rs 30/30 per quintal to Rs 2,762/2,912 as against to Rs 2,732/2,882 yesterday.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,622/2,781 (Rs 2,612/2,776)
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,762/2,912 (Rs 2,732/2,882).
