Sugar spurts on good demand

Both sugar prices spurted at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to good demand from stockists and retailers.
Small sugar (S-30) regained by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 3,550/3,662 from saturday's closing level of Rs 3,500/3,662.
Medium sugar (M-30) rose by Rs 15 per quintal to Rs 3,636/3,780 per quintal as compared to Rs 3,636/3,765 previously.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,550/3,662 (Rs 3,500/3,662).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,636/3,780 (Rs 3,636/3,765).
