"I haven't seen many Bengali films, except for the ones made by Mrinal Sen and Satyajit Ray. In fact, I haven't followed the journey of Bengali cinema in recent years. But still I agreed to act in the film by Ringo Banerjee," Suhel, who grew up in the city, told PTI here.
"Senapati" is a gangster genre film made by the seasoned Bengali director and Suhel plays the role of an FBI agent Max Wheeler in it.
Suhel had acted in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Guzaarish", Zoya Akhtar's "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara" and Madhur Bhandarkar's "Calendar Girls".
Parambrata Chatterjee and Riya Dev Sen are the other key characrters in the film.
