Sumit Mazumder elected new CII President

TIL chairman and managing director Sumit Mazumder has been elected as the President of industry body CII for 2015-16.
A graduate of St Xavier's College, Kolkata, Mazumder has a Master's in Business Administration from Sam Houston State University, Texas, US. He also undertook the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University, Massachusetts in the US.
TIL is a manufacturer of material handling equipments.
Mazumder is also the Executive Chairman of TIPL (Tractors India Pvt Ltd), which is a distributor for the US-based Caterpillar in India, Nepal and Bhutan for earthmoving, construction, mining equipment and power systems.
Besides, Dr Naushad Forbes, Director, Forbes Marshall, has become the President-designate of CII for 2015-16.

Forbes Marshall is a leading steam engineering and control instrumentation firm.

Shobana Kamineni, Executive Vice-Chairperson, Apollo Hospitals Enterprises (AHEL) has been elected as Vice-President of CII for 2015-16.
Championing special initiatives for over seven years, Kamineni had directed the company's diversification into several new domains.
She holds a BA in Economics from Stella Maris College, Chennai and an accelerated Diploma in Hospital Administration from Columbia University, New York.
