"The super specialty hospital in Jammu would be made operational soon," minister for Medical Education, Taj Mohi-ud-Din said while reviewing the pace of completion of works on the hospital and state of preparedness in a meeting here.
He reviewed the status of the faculty, maintenance of the buildings, readiness of machinery equipment and other issues.
The minister, who also hold the portfolios of Youth Services and Sports, asked the hospital administration to recruit retired faculty members for the hospital on contact basis.
Taj said the proposed hospital would be the premier health institution of the Jammu province for which he sought co-operation from the faculty members for its early opening.
He said Rs 1.50 crore have been already released as special dispensation for buying equipment for the said hospital.
