Sure Safety to begin work at new unit in Odisha by year-end

Mumbai-based Sure Safety Solutions is likely to begin manufacturing of aerial target products for defence purposes at its upcoming Odisha facility by year-end.
"I think the unit of Sure Safety Solutions will start manufacturing of target aerial products for defence purposes by year end. The decision should be taken up by the unit," Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO) Managing Director Sanjay Kumar Singh told PTI here.
Singh was in the city for conducting a roadshow to showcase the potential of Odisha in attracting investments.
The unit is being set up at Gopalpur Industrial Park of over 1,200-acre Tata Steel Special Economic Zone (TSSEZ) in Odisha, he added.

"Earlier, we used to import aerial target products from abroad, and now it will be manufactured in Gopalpur.It has a great potential and it will open new channel for other units also to come up," the MD said.
The facility would be set up by Sure Safety Solutions in collaboration with Meggitt Defence of the United Kingdom, Singh said.

He, however, did not divulge the size of investment.
The project would begin with an assembly line for aerial targets, followed by servicing Meggitts order...For aerial targets,he said.
Talking about the Industrial Park, Singh said the Odisha government is committed to establishing the region as the nextindustrial hotspot of the state.

Asked about other projects, Singh said Sai Exports had already set up its unit and Aditya Birla has already taken the land for a project and are ready for performing ground-breaking ceremony very soon.
"These are the two investments that have fructified," he said.
