Surprised to know Governors have so much power: Bedi

Kiran Bedi who took charge as the Lt Governor of Puducherry two months back today said she wasn't aware that the position comes with so much power.
"This position is very important, they have all the say in decision making. I am surprised to know that this position comes with so much power but only few are able to make the best of it. I will work my best to help people," she said at an event here.
Bedi was in Delhi as chief guest for the "inaugural function of the celebration of 30 years of welfare work" of PHD family welfare foundation.

"I know the problem and issues of the NGO sector because I have been a part of it. I made a directory of NGOs to call them together. I realised that the link between them and the government was broken, so the first thing I did is to connect the two," Bedi added.
Talking about places she visited in her UT, she said "only drains. I am working to clean the drain to avoid flood in the coming months.
