The ultras hurled the grenade towards the residence of Javed Jamshedwani at around 9 PM in Botshah Qadal locality of Lal Bazar area, police said.
Some window panes of Wani's house were smashed due to the impact of the grenade explosion, however, there were no casualties reported in the incident.
No militant outfit has claimed responsibilities for the attack so far.
