Suspected militants make failed attempt to target CRPF bunker

Suspected militants today made a failed attempt to target a CRPF bunker in Safakadal area of the city by firing a rifle grenade but no one was hurt in the blast, police said.
The ultras fired the rifle grenade towards the bunker of 161 battalion CRPF at Sekidafar in Safakadal area around 11.30 am, a police official said.
He said the explosive missed the target and landed on the roadside, causing damage to three civilian vehicles passing by.
However, no one was hurt in the explosion that caused panic among the people in the area, he added.
