Suspended missing police constable found dead in Maha

A suspended police constable, who was missing, was found dead today in Vasai in the district, police said.
The body of Vinod Pardhi (30) was found this morning from the Panju island, an official attached with Vasai police station said.
Pardhi was under suspension from January 25 following a complaint from a woman head constable against him for his alleged incident behaviour and vulgar remarks, officials said.
At that time, a case under relevant sections of IPC was registered against him.
Police said according to his 22-year-old wife, he went missing on February 5 and a missing complaint was lodged yesterday.

A case under section 174 (accidental death) of IPC has been registered in this regard and investigations are underway, they added.
