Swachh Bharat Kosh got over Rs 600 cr as contribution in 3

The government has received more than Rs 600 crore as contribution to its Swachh Bharat Kosh in the last three years till November 2017, Drinking Water and Sanitation Minister Uma Bharati told Parliament today.
In 2015, the SBK received 313.54 crore, in 2016, it received Rs 97.47 crore and in 2017 till November - a total of Rs 614.63 crore, she informed the Rajya Sabha.
"The objective of the government for setting up Swachh Bharat Kosh is to facilitate channelisation of philanthropic contributions and corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds towards achieving the objective of clean India by the year 2019", she said.
The minister also said funds from SBK have been released for projects on repair, construction of dysfunctional toilet in government schools and households.
In 2014-2015, the government has released Rs 86.09 crore, in 2015-2016, Rs 272.80 crore, in 2016-2017, Rs 136.42 crore and in 2017-2018 (till November 30, 2017) Rs 138.67 crore.
