A group of students, who have been demanding the removal of Union Ministers Smriti Irani and Bandaru Dattatreya and the Vice Chancellor, rushed to Reddy's car and raised slogans against the ministers and his party. The HCU has been witnessing protests over the alleged suicide of a dalit research scholar on Sunday.
A window of Reddy's car was also broken during the protests, eyewitnesses said.
