T'gana keen to ink pact with Hunan Province for sister-state

Telangana Government today said it is keen to sign an MoU with Hunan Province, China to establish a sister-state relationship.
Jupally Kirshna Rao, Minister for Industries, in his address in a programme organised by the CII said the state government would be interested to work closely with the Government of China to enhance trade and business.
"We are interested to sign an MoU with Hunan Province to establish a Sister-State relationship and work in the areas of tourism, culture, education and industry," the Minister said.
Arvind Kumar, Secretary, Department of Industries and Commerce, said that the state government will allocate 500 acres of land to develop separate Chinese industrial park with all the facilities.
"We are keen to have large group of Chinese SMEs to come and operate at the Industrial Park," he said.
He Baoxiang, Vice Governor of the Government of Hunan Province opined that his province and Telangana are complimentary to each other and can work together especially in the areas of technology, education and culture.
Baoxiang pointed out that Hunan province is interested in investments in the sectors like- IT software, animation, e-commerce, software development, pharma industry, development of high tech parks, agriculture and machinery, manufacturing of heavy machinery for construction, non-ferrous metals, among others.
The Chinese delegation comprising 25 members today met members of CII Telangana.
The objective of the meeting was to explore various business opportunities between the Hunan Province, China and Telangana.
