An exhibition, 'Gandhi in the Metro', comprising a collection of pictures taken by noted photographer late Kulwant Roy, has been unveiled at the station to celebrate Gandhi's life and times days ahead of his birth anniversary.
The pictures, put up in a mix of big size panels and display boards, also capture historic political meetings, iconic portraits and provide glimpses into the lives of famous freedom fighters and leaders.
"Gandhi stood for cleanliness and punctuality. We like to imagine that our trains and stations would have impressed him," the curators said.
A stall has also been put up at the station to distribute free postcard pictures of images that are on display to visitors and passengers. It will remain open from 8 AM to 8 PM on all days for the next two months.
