Talent analytics and flexible working options are expected to play a critical role in sourcing and retaining talent in the Indian IT and ITeS sector in the next 5-10 years.
According to a survey by Randstad Technologies, 95 per cent of the 600 HR leaders in the IT sector said talent analytics, which includes utilisation of various software tools to manage several people-related aspects, would be a key factor in companies' retention strategies going forward.
Talent analytics utilises algorithms to accurately match candidates' capabilities with job descriptions for forecasting requirements, talent mapping, succession planning & analysis of HR metrics like attrition and time to fill a post.
Other major factors would be flexible working options which is expected to attract increasingly mobile talent, while increasing automation in an organisation is expected to focus on highly skilled roles.
As per the survey, some of the other critical success factors to retain and nurture talent include defined career and growth plans, followed by compensation and benefits and a culture that fosters innovation.
The survey further said though HR leaders mentioned that HR is fully aligned with their organisation's vision and strategy, less than a third say HR is a strategic partner to business.
"Getting the right talent is at the top of a CEO's agenda and owing to the criticality of this, HR has clearly earned a place in the boardroom today. The role of HR is more important than ever," Moorthy K Uppaluri, MD & CEO, Randstad India said.
Randstad India offers the broadest HR services portfolio ranging from Staffing, Search & Selection to Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO).
