Tata Motors scrip extends gain; up nearly 6%

Continuing its winning-spree for the second straight session, shares of Tata Motors gained nearly 6 per cent today on smart sales data for September and reports that Jaguar Land Rover US sales soared.
The stock jumped 5.81 per cent to settle at Rs 333.50 on BSE. During the day, it climbed 6.25 per cent to Rs 334.90.
At NSE, shares of the company surged 5.88 per cent to Rs 333.70.
The stock was the biggest gainer on both Sensex and Nifty.
On the volume front, 14.05 lakh shares of the company changed hands at BSE and over one crore shares were traded at NSE during the day.

In the previous session also, the stock rallied over 6 per cent. The company's market valuation has risen by Rs 10,117 crore to Rs 95,866 crore in two days.

Tata Motors' sales of passenger cars in September were higher by 5 per cent at 10,226 units, as compared to 9,766 units in same period of last year.
The stock also rallied on reports that Tata Motors' September US JLR sales have risen sharply.
In the stock market, the BSE Sensex went up by 147.33 points to 26,932.88.
