Tata Sky bags place in the Limca Book of Records 2014

Direct-to-home (DTH) service provider Tata Sky today said it has bagged a place in the Limca Book of Records 2014 for airing the longest TV commercial in Indian advertising history.
The advertisement 'Prison Break' had a run time of 210 (3 min 30 sec) seconds.
"Through this unique and long advertisement that was run on television, made Tata Sky the first ever DTH brand to enter the Limca Book of Records," the company said in a statement.
The TVC was conceived by Ogilvy & Mather who worked with Vivek Kakkad, Director - Curious Films to shoot the commercial with an international cast and crew in an actual prison in Hungary.

Versa receives International Exellence award * Coimbatore-based Versa Drives, manufacturers of 'Superfan' brand of ceiling fan, will enhance its capacity from the present 5,000 fans to 15,000 fans a month soon, a top company official said today.
The Superfan, launched in February last year, has set a sales target of one lakh fans during this financial year and with some export orders, there was the need to increase the manufacturing capacity, Sam L Carr, Business Head, Superfan, said.
Though there are many competitors in the segment, growing at six per cent annually, there is still scope for the ceiling fans as Superfan was being operated with remote control and has inbuilt micro processor, in case of loss of remote control, Carr said.

Zerodha to start city operations
* Bangalore-based online brokerage firm Zerodha today said it would start city operations shortly to provide retail broking services to investors, an official of the company said.
"We will start providing online brokerage operations in the city soon for which a dedicated team from Bangalore will come", founder of Zerodha Nitin Kamath said.
Zerodha, unlike other online broking firms, charges a flat fee of Rs 20 per trade irrespective of the volume, he said in Kolkata today.

Mahindra launches limited edition of XUV500 Sportz in MP * Leading automobile major Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd announced the launch of its limited edition 'XUV500 Sportz' vehicle in Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh today.
Only 1,000 units of XUV500 Sportz's limited edition will be launched in the country to give a niche feeling to the customer," Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd's Senior General Manager, Sales, Automotive Division, Jacob Varghese said.
So far, the company has sold 80,000 units of XUV500 in the entire country and demand for the vehicle is on the rise since it was launched in 2011, he said.
