Senior TDP leader Kadiam Srihari, who quit the party a few days ago, joined TRS today in the presence of its president K Chandrasekhar Rao here.
Srihari said, though he got a lot of respect and recognition in TDP during his long association with the party, he quit it for the cause of separate Telangana state.
Welcoming Srihari into the party fold, Rao said, "It is time all children of Telangana got united for the sake of separate statehood."
Rao said, TRS should get about 100 Assembly and 16 Lok Sabha seats in the 2014 elections, so that it could "achieve Telangana by dictating terms" instead of pleading for it.
