Tea stall owner beaten to death over verbal argument

A 35-year-old tea stall owner was beaten to death today by a youth and his accomplices following a verbal argument.
According to police, Rajpal, who ran a tea stall in the Saroorpur Industrial area, was chatting with customers when a youth passed a casual comment asking why he was gossipping.
To this, Rajpal replied in a similar tone, they said.
Angry over Rajpal's retort, the youth went away and later returned with a few accomplices.
According to eyewitnesses, the accused youths, all around the age of 25, thrashed Rajpal with bricks and stones besides kicking and punching him.
"The beating was so brutal that the men died on the spot," Mujesar SHO Rajinder Singh said.

Identity of any of the accused is not know, he said adding that a case under Section 302 of IPC (murder) has been registered against them.
