Teacher booked for murder as student dies after thrashing

A school teacher was today booked for murder after the 8-year-old class II girl he had allegedly thrashed died due to high fever in Dausa district, police said.
The girl, Monica, was allegedly beaten by the teacher in a private school at Nadera village of Dausa on August 26, police said.
According to Dausa Superintendent of Police Anshuman Bhomiya, the girl suffered high fever after she was beaten and was admitted to a government hospital in Bandikui.
Later, she was referred to Jaipur's SMS hospital, the SP said, adding that she succumbed on way to the hospital.
The body was sent for post mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of her death, the SP said.
A case under Section 302 of IPC (murder) has been registered against the accused on the basis of the complaint lodged by the girl's father, the police officer said.
A police team was also rushed to the village to probe the case, he said.
