With increasing use of technology by the government as well as the criminals, it has become imperative for police officers to update the technical skills, Additional Director General of Police (Trainings), Navin Agerwal said.
While chairing a meeting at Police Headquarters (PHQ here today, Agerwal stressed for time bound implementation and introduction of modern technical courses at Police Technical Training Institute Vijaypur (PTTI).
He said so far these courses were being held at Delhi due to which only a few officers from the organization could be nominated for these courses.
The meeting also decided that short duration refresher courses will be organized to update the knowledge of those who had been recruited and trained earlier.
