Technopark gears up for celebrations

Technopark here, the country's first IT Park, is gearing up to celebrate its silver jubilee in a big way by lining up a series of programmes beginning on July 27.
State Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will officially launch the month-long celebrations by unveiling the new logo of Technopark in the presence of IT and Industries Minister P K Kunhalikutty and other dignitaries at a function to be held here.
The main event, as part of the silver jubilee celebrations, will be held at the Amphitheatre near Park Centre on August 5.
As an extended series of events related to the celebration, a new Rs 2.5 crore solid waste management plant and security control room will be inaugurated next month.

The celebration will conclude with the laying of the foundation stone for the largest IT building in the Phase-I campus of Technopark, a release said here today.
