The incident occurred when Poonam Prajapati was returning home from coaching institute and the truck hit her killing her on the spot, they said.
The accused truck driver fled from the spot with his vehicle, they said.
Irate locals then disrupted traffic demanding immediate arrest of the accused, however, police brought the situation under control.
Body of the girl has been sent for postmortem, they said, adding, an investigation is underway.
