Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav, a debutant legislator, today shared the experience he gained attending the first session of the state assembly recently.
Tejaswi sharing his experience in his Facebook post 'Dil Ki Baat' wrote: "Though I had the privilege to visit Vidhan Sabha with my mother and father in my childhood, but while entering the hallow precincts of the Assembly as a legislator and Deputy Chief Minister on the first day of the session on November 30, I felt a new chapter of life full of challenges and responsibilities has started."
"The excitement of first day in the House arose again when the House convened the next day on December 1. Reaching my Deputy CM chamber before time, I entered the House well on time as I was first to take oath," the 26-year-old Tejaswi, who is the younger son of RJD President Lalu Prasad, said.
"...During proceeding of the House, my youthful mind was keenly watching every detail. I was trying to learn the physical and mental movement of (my) fellow legislators...I experienced that it's not only the MLAs but the entire Bihar citizens are present in the House through their elected representatives (who are) endowed with (the) responsibility to voice problem of their regions," he said.
Tejaswi said he realised that being Deputy CM and Leader of RJD Legislature Party his responsibility was larger because he did not represent only an assembly constituency but the entire state.
"Time and again I was repeating my resolve that we will ensure to stand up to the expectations of people under leadership of Chief Minister in the 16th Vidhan Sabha," he added.
