Telangana CM calls on PM, discusses state-specific issues

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao today met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the latter's official residence here and discussed several state specific issues with him, said officials.
During the discussion with the prime minister, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president brought up the demand for the 55-acre Bison Polo Ground in the state for the construction of the Assembly building.
It was also learnt that Rao sought permission from Modi for the construction of eco-friendly bridges in the protected areas of Telangana's Kumaram Bheem Asifabad district.
The issue of reservations for Muslims in government jobs and education as well as those related to farmers also featured during the interaction between the two leaders.

Rao also called on Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and NDA's vice presidential nominee M Venkaiah Naidu today.
The Telangana chief minister has extended his stay in the national capital after taking part in the swearing-in ceremony of President Ram Nath Kovind yesterday.
