The sum of Rs 620 crore is in addition to the Rs 400 crore sanctioned earlier under the same head, a State Government release said.
Thanking Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari for the sanction of funds, Telangana Road and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao said proposals worth another Rs 3,000 crore are under the consideration of the Centre.
Rao hoped the Centre would sanction funds for these projects as well in the future.
