Telangana govt to make efforts to eliminate TB by 2023: Min

The Telangana government would make efforts to eliminate tuberculosis (TB) in the state by 2023, Health Minister C Laxma Reddy said here today.
The Centre aims to eliminate the disease in the country by 2025, but the state government would try to achieve the goal by 2023, an official release quoting the minister said.
The minister was speaking at an event to kick-off daily supply of TB medicines.
The medicines to treat TB used to be supplied to the patients on alternate days, the release said.
