Rao along with a team of officers met Chouhan at the Mantralaya (state secretariat) to discuss the salient features of the ambitious project.
"The Chief Minister said that Narmada-Kshipra Link project was completed in a record period of 13-months. Through it, Narmada water is being supplied to Kshipra river through pipeline," an official release said.
The project will provide irrigation and drinking water. Narmada water will also be supplied to four other rivers of Madhya Pradesh.
Harish Rao said in Telangana also, water of Godavari river can also be used by lifting it through pipelines.
At present, its water is being supplied through canals due to which much water is wasted. He praised the state for its work in the field of irrigation, agriculture and women's empowerment sectors.
In Telangana also, priority is being attached to irrigation projects. Top officials of both the states were present on the occasion, the release added.
