Temperature drops in Punjab after rains

Several parts of Rajasthan witnessed rain leading to a fall in temperature, which was recorded below the normal level.
Amritsar had a pleasant day today at 27.6 deg C, six notches below normal, after the holy city was lashed by 85 mm of rains, as per the meteorological department report.
Ludhiana and Patiala were also lashed by heavy rain and the two cities recorded maximums of 32.5 deg C and 34 deg C temperatures.
However, Chandigarh and many places in Haryana experienced sultry weather conditions today.
Chandigarh recorded a high of 35 deg C, three notches above normal. Hisar in Haryana had a hot day at 36 deg C, up by two notches while Bhiwani's maximum settled at 35.2 deg C.
Narnaul and Ambala registered respective maximums of 33.5 deg C and 33 deg C.
