Assistant Superintendent of police Ashish Srivastava said last night both tempo driver Anuj and his helper Ramesh had gone to deliver water to a compost manure plant near City Forest-a picnic point.
While returning back both consumed liquor andhad an altercation over a female friend.
Anuj picked up a brick and battered Ramesh to death.
Some villagers saw him burying the body near compost plant and informed the police.
Police arrested Anuj and registered a case against him while the body Ramesh has been sent for post mortem, police added.
