To monitor poll code violations, 10 flying squads have been formed in the district, which has an equal number of asembly constituencies.
The squads, along with monitoring committee will function round the clock to check money flow and other poll violations, official sources said.
A total of 740 posters and 535 banners, among others, were removed today in places coming under corporation and municipal limits, they said.
Meanwhile, with election code of conduct coming into force, the weekly grievances meeting on Mondays has been cancelled until further orders, they said.
