Noted Indian historian and cricket writer, Ramachandra Guha said the timing of the retirement of Sachin Tendulkar should be left to the conscience of the senior cricketer himself.
"Sachin should look at his conscience," Guha said, adding that the senior batsman contributed 80-odd runs in the first Test of the ongoing series against Australia.
"We need to remember this. So let him decide about retirement. As a former cricketer I will never advise a cricketer when to retire," Guha, who has written extensively on the history of Indian cricket, said.
