Tenure of media advisor to CAG ends

B S Chauhan, a former Indian Information Service (IIS) official, has completed his engagement as media advisor to Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG).
He was appointed as media advisor in April, 2010 during the tenure of Vinod Rai and he continued under Shashi Kant Sharma, the incumbent.
Chauhan had earlier worked with the Election Commission, Finance Ministry and the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) in various capacities dealing with the media.
He belonged to 1980 batch of Indian Economic Service and then joined Indian Information Service in 1983.
