Chaired by Karunanidhi, the meeting, held a day after the Commonwealth Summit ended in Colombo, supported Cameron's demand that Sri Lanka complete investigation into the alleged war crimes and human rights violations by March next.
TESO in one of the resolutions adopted in a meeting here came in support of Cameron's statement, which warned Sri Lanka that his country would be forced to call for a transparent and independent international investigation, in the event of the island nation failing to take up the matter.
Heaping praises on Cameron for the concern displayed towards ethnic Tamils in Sri Lanka and to their welfare, the meeting slammed the Centre stating, "It cannot justify the participation of Salman Khurshid on any ground."
Instead of bringing the Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa under censure for human rights violation, the CHOGM forum seemed to have gone all out to protect the island head, the resolution contended.
