"The body of Yudhistir Nahak (55) was found floating in Samala barrage near Talacher and handed over to the family members on yesterday," inspector-in-charge of Khallikote Shisir Mishra said.
Nahak, father of Shankar Nahak, a sitting councillor in NAC Khallikote was allegedly kidnapped by some miscreants from his home on July 18, the police said.
"We have detained some persons for interrogation in this connection," Mishra said adding that investigation was in progress.
