The American DJ duo of Drew Taggart and Alex Pall also dished out that it will be accompanied by a North American tour titled the "Memories: Do Not Open Tour", reported Entertainment Weekly.
Interestingly, Coldplay's Chris Martin inadvertently let the fans in on the secret about the album on Twitter before the duo made an official announcement by writing, "Excited for @thechainsmokers' album; I've heard some songs and I love them," Martin wrote.
The DJs had said last September that whether they would release a record was "up to our fans if they want one".
