During the instalment of the Fox cartoon, the marquee for a Broadway show briefly showed the now-iconic symbol of the Eiffel Tower standing in a peace sign.
The sign was created by French graphic designer Jean Jullien in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks on November 13.
"I thought we needed a message for peace," Jullien said about the illustration.
"The Simpsons" previously paid tribute to those killed in the Charlie Hebdo attacks in January, by including a picture of Maggie holding a French flag in the style of "Les Miserables" with the words "Je suis Charlie".
