American animated sitcom "The Simpsons" paid tribute to the victims of the Paris attacks in an understated but touching manner in its latest episode.
During the instalment of the Fox cartoon, the marquee for a Broadway show briefly showed the now-iconic symbol of the Eiffel Tower standing in a peace sign.
The sign was created by French graphic designer Jean Jullien in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks on November 13.
"I thought we needed a message for peace," Jullien said about the illustration.
"The Simpsons" previously paid tribute to those killed in the Charlie Hebdo attacks in January, by including a picture of Maggie holding a French flag in the style of "Les Miserables" with the words "Je suis Charlie".
