The settlement between the company, which was co-founded by a stepson of Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, and the US Justice Department also covers forfeiture claims against the producer's rights and interests in two other films, "Daddy's Home" and "Dumb and Dumber To", Variety reported.
According to a filing in a California court, the company denies any wrongdoing.
US prosecutors, who had filed a civil asset forfeiture action against the production house in July 2016, had claimed the three films were financed using money misappropriated from 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), a state fund founded in 2009 by Razak.
Financier Low Taek Jho, also known as Jho Lo and a close friend of Razak's son-in-law Raza Aziz, is accused of siphoning off USD 4.5 billion from the fund.
