This was informed by BJP Rajya Sabha MP Tarun Vijay afer he led a delegation to HRD Minister Smriti Irani, thanking her for accepting his suggestions made yesterday in Parliament.
"I am extremely honoured and privileged that I had the opportunity to serve this particular request which came through a special mention by Vijay," Irani told reporters.
She said the fact that Rajya Sabha was unanimous in its support for such an initiative "reaffirms what I had said just two days ago in the Lok Sabha that Shiksha mein rajneeti nahin, lekin rashtraneeti ho rahi hai"(what is happening in education is national policy and not politics).
