The accused were arrested last evening and Rs 1.3 lakh in cash, and a cheque of Rs 1.5 lakh were recovered from them, a police official said.
According to Aashish Bhargav the circle in-charge of Sadar in Baran, Jaipal Meena from Lavaniya village, in his complaint to police on Friday, said he was taken to Raroti village by one Jakir Hussain for settling his son's marriage.
The woman took Meena to a room which was then bolted from outside by another person, Biram Meena.
She started behaving in objectionable manner. Later two other persons, Murari Lal Gujjar and Bhuriya Gujjar, entered the room and thrashed Meena, the complaint stated.
They demanded Rs 5 lakh from Meena and threatened to lodge a complaint of rape against him if the amount was not paid, Bhargav said.
They forced the complainant to call up his family members and bring the amount. Eventually they succeeded to extort Rs 3 lakh, in cash and cheque, the CI said.
