Police said the girl had an affair with her dance tutor. Three of the tutor's friends threatened the student that her affair would be revealed to her parents unless she gave them 25 souverigns of gold ornaments.
After obtaining the gold, they demanded Rs one lakh from her. The Girl informed the matter to her father, who lodged a complaint to police.
The three were arrested last night after filing cases under prevention of Womens Harasement Act and IPC 386 (extortion by putting a person in fear) and produced before a Judicial Magistrate who remanded them for 15 days.
