Three men, accused of raping a speech-impaired woman were arrested on Friday in Giridih district, the police said.
The gang-rape incident had happened on June 22, when the accused had allegedly waylaid the 40-year-old woman at a place under Bengavad police station, about 25 km from here, and committed the crime in an inebriated state, Giridih sub- divisional police officer (SDPO) Jeet Vahan Oraon said.
"Three accused men have been arrested. They are in their early 30s," Oraon said.
The victim's brother had lodged an FIR against the accused.
"The police will make all the efforts so that accused persons get stringent punishment," Oraon added.
